Argos stun Stamps to win 105th Grey Cup

Argos stun Stamps late to win Grey Cup … For the second year in a row, runaway regular-season leader Calgary was upset by a .500 Eastern Division team in the CFL championship game. This year Calgary fell 27-24 to Toronto after losing last year’s Grey Cup game in overtime to Ottawa. And this one really hurts for Calgary. The Stampeders were in position to put the game away as they lead 24-16 and had the ball inside the Toronto 10 with less than 5 minutes to play, but shades of Chuck Hunsinger and Jackie Packer 63 years ago, a Calgary receiver fumbled the ball away fighting for extra yards and former Ole Miss DB Cassius Vaughn returned it 109 yards for a tying TD. Then after Toronto kicked a FG to take the lead, Calgary was in position to kick a FG of their own to send the game to overtime, Stamps’ QB Bo Levi Mitchell had a pass picked off in the end zone with just 8 seconds on the clock.
