Another rook QB to start as Saints give Shough a chance … New Orleans has confirmed that rookie Tyler Shough will get the start at QB when the 1-7 Saints play the LA Rams this weekend. Shough, the Saints 2nd round pick at last April’s draft – #40 overall – replaces Spencer Rattler in hopes of giving their struggling offence a spark. Shough, in fact, came off the bench in the second half of Sunday’s loss to Tampa Bay completing 17 of 30 passes, but for just 128 yards, a pick, and a 53.2 passer rating. Shough becomes the 4th rookie QB to start this season joining Cam Ward of Tennessee, the Giants Jaxson Dart and Dillon Gabriel of Cleveland taking over their respective offences.
