First-round mock updated again!!! … Normally we only update our first-round mocks every month or so, unless there is a major change. And we got that last week with the rather dramatic changes in the selection order as a result of this past weekend’s games. So we have in fcat updated our first-round projection for the 2025 draft a second time in just over a week. Again, though, as we have noted in the past, the goal here isn’t so much to try and predict which team will select which player, but to give some sense of what players would likely be available at different points in the draft based on what we know today. The other thing folks will notice is that there are only 2 QBs selected in this projection and only two – Shedeur Sanders of Colorado and Miami’s Cam Ward – taken in the top 5-10 picks. Fact is, that until we get a little more clarity, we aren’t including QBs like Quinn Ewers of Texas, Georgia’s Carson Beck, Drew Allar of Penn State, Alabama’s Jalen Milroe and Garrett Nussmeier of LSU, who have been somewhat up-and-down so far this fall such that we suspect they may all actually end up back at school next fall (although we also note that not necessarily at their current school as some may in fact opt to transfer.)
