All-America fest as bowl sked continues

All-America fest as bowl sked continues … The bowl schedule continues with games just about every day this week leading up to next week’s true bowl fest which of course will include the two national CFP semi-finals on New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately, at least from a draft perspective, the pickings are not necessarily all that great this week. The one game people might want to check out this week is Tuesday’s Frisco Bowl (not to be confused with the Frisco Football Classic on Thursday) between San Diego State and 24th ranked Texas-San Antonio. SDSU, in fact, has a trio of legit All-Americans in DE Cam Thomas (#99, 6-5, 270), P Matt Araiza (#2, 6-2, 200) and OG Will Dunkle (#73, 6-5, 330). All three are juniors who have yet to declare, but Thomas, who had 11 sacks this fall, is a solid early second round prospect, while Araiza, who leads all of football with a 51.4 yards per punt average, is the top-rated punter with late second-day potential. Meanwhile, Dunkle isn’t as well known and won’t go as early, but could be a real late-round steal if he declares. UTSA has an All-American of its own in junior RB Sincere McCormick, arguably the best kept secret in college football, but he has declared for the draft and won’t play Tuesday.
