ACC to drop divisions … The ACC has confirmed that the conference will scrap its divisional format starting in 2023. Starting next year, the ACC will move to a 3-5-5 format in which every team will have three permanent rivalry games each year, while playing 5 of the remaining 10 teams on a rotating basis every-other-year. And the conference championship game will be between the two teams with the best records in league play. The ACC becomes the third Power-5 conference to go to the non-division format joining the Big XII which is already there and the Pac-12 which will also drop its divisions in 2023.
