ACC Tigers head list of top dozen draft classes for 2026 … We noted in a post a couple of weeks back entering the college football season there isn’t necessarily a clear dominant team or teams like Ohio State last year when a small army of the Buckeyes’ stars who were considered legit draft prospects opted to return en masse for one more kick at the national championship can, or like Alabama or Georgia in recent years when those teams were just way more talented than everyone else in the field. In fact, it appears that, at least at this time, that there are as many as 8-10 teams with a legitimate shot at winning the national title this year. And that trend appears to extend to 2026 draft classes as, again at least at this time, there isn’t much separating the top half dozen classes looking ahead to next April. In the end we gave the nod to Clemson for the top spot in our pre-season listing of the top dozen potential draft classes overall as the Tigers have a couple of top 5-10 prospects in DE TJ Parker and DT Peter Woods, along with arguably the #1 veteran college QB in Cade Klubnik, as well as several other quality late first candidates. The ACC Tigers edged out Penn State, Alabama, LSU, and Texas for the top spot, although as noted there isn’t much to separate the top programs.
