ACC morphs into A&PCC … Not sure if they’ll now have to call itself the Atlanta&Pacific Coast Conference as the ACC confirmed earlier today that Pac-12 orphans Stanford and California and Southern Methodist will be joining the conference next fall. Stanford and Cal, of course, became free agents when the Pac-12 when the Pac-12 essentially disintegrated earlier this summer, while SMU is currently part of the American Athletic Conference. With the addition of the three new members the ACC will be up to 17 football participants beginning next fall.
