A little more on Jalen Carter … Just to add to yesterday story about the curious case of Georgia DT Jalen Carter, Carter is meeting with Bears officials in Chicago as we speak. The Bears, of course, currently have the 9th pick overall. Carter also confirmed a recent visit with Philadelphia, which is interesting in the sense that the Eagles, who have the 10th pick, were originally reported as one team that had taken Carter off their board completely as a result of his off-field issues. In fact, Carter’s agent has announced that he will only visit or meet with teams with top 10 picks, which can be viewed as either arrogance or confidence. At the same time, we are hearing a few whispers that there are in fact several teams at least contemplating the possibility of trading up for Carter, who prior to his legal woes, was the consensus #1 non-QB prospect this year, if not the top prospect overall period.
