Panthers to pick 19th … Carolina threw a scare into the LA Rams in their first-round playoff game earlier this afternoon when the Panthers took a 4-point lead with just over 2 minutes to play following a blocked punt. But Rams QB Matt Stafford was able to lead a go-ahead TD march that culminated in a go-ahead score of their own in the game’s final minute. As a result of the loss the Panthers will have the 19th pick in this year’s draft; and because the Panthers are the only sub-.500 team in this year’s playoff field, they will in fact have the 19th pick in every round.
