Gophers’ DE Smith to stick with school … Rising Minnesota DE Anthony Smith has confirmed that he will in fact be passing on the 2026 draft and returning to the Gophers next fall. The 6-6, 285-pound Smith had a breakout campaign this past fall when he posted 12.5 sacks including a couple in the Gophers OT win over New Mexico in yesterday’s Rate Bowl.
