LSU QB tweaks old knee issue … LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier, one of the top prospects at the position for the 2026 draft, was held out of a couple of practices earlier this week sparking rumors that he might have a serious knee injury. Nussmeier, the leading returning passer in college football this fall, though, was back at practice Friday and is expected to be pretty much full participant going forward. Nussmeier reportedly did sit out earlier this week after experiencing some tendinitis in his knee, a condition which, according to the team, is the result of an earlier surgery he underwent in 2023. And while it does not appear to be all that serious, it is the kind of thing that NFL team’s will have their medical people taking a long, hard, look at next spring.
