Lions roar into 2nd CFP round … A second CFP first-round playoff game is in the books as Penn State routed SMU 38-10 to advance to the quarter-finals where the Nittany Lions will face Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl on New Year’s Eve. It was also the 2nd college playoff game this weekend that was anything but close – Notre Dame led Indiana 27-3 at the 2nd half 2 minute break in their game last night – which may be a hint to the committee that maybe schedules do matter. Just sayin’.
