Argos win CFL’s Grey Cup game … While the NFL was wrapping up its Sunday schedule this evening, the Toronto Argonauts won the 111th edition of the CFL’s Grey Cup game with a 41-24 triumph over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at BC Place in Vancouver. Ironically, this was the CFL title the Argos thought they were on pace to win last year when they dominated during the regular season but were upset in the East championship game and never even made it to the title contest. And the Argos prevailed with back-up QB Nick Arbuckle at the helm of the offence in place of Chad Kelly, who suffered a serious leg injury in last week’s divisional final win over Montreal. Arbuckle was solid enough completing 26 of 37 passes for 252 yards and a couple of scores, but it was the Toronto defence, though, that carried the day as they forced 5 turnovers including a late pick-6 that iced the game.
