Updating 49er WR Aiyuk situation; Pats out, Steelers back in … As of this morning star San Francisco WR Brandon Aiyuk is still a 49er; in fact, Aiyuk is still participating in team meetings, although he has not practised as he and the team sort through his contract situation. It was reported yesterday that the 49ers had the parameters of a deal in place for Aiyuk with both Cleveland and New England; however, the Patriots are indicating today that they are no longer interested. On the other hand, it appears that Pittsburgh might be back in the picture. The Steelers have been rumored to be Aiyuk’s most likely destination. Indeed, there were reports over the weekend that the 49ers had agreed to trade Aiyuk to the Steelers, but yesterday Pittsburgh was reportedly out. Needless to say a very fluid situation. Stay tuned!
