Falcons sign former Vikes’ QB Cousins … One of the big free agents on the market this year did not take long to sign as QB Kirk Cousins has agreed to a 4-year deal with Atlanta. Cousins, of course, is not the only veteran free agent QB to make noise in the past few days as Russell Wilson is moving to Pittsburgh while Baker Mayfield is staying put in Tampa Bay, however, Cousins move from Minnesota to Atlanta probably has much more draft-related significance. On the one hand, there had been speculation that the Falcons would likely be targeting the position with their 1st round pick, the 8th overall, and could even try and trade up from that spot to get a QB, but that now appears to be off the table. On the other hand, Minnesota which has the 11th pick now is without a QB and with the other top potential free agents now off the market it could be that its the Vikings that are going to have to explore moving up in the draft to get a replacement for Cousins.
