To QB or not to QB continued; ranking updated … We are just in the process of updating our positional rankings starting with the QBs (and as usual the Big Board will be fully updated once the poistional rankings are done). Re the QBs it is still pretty clear that NFL teams have the top 3 guys – Caleb Williams, Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels – each ranked among the top 4-5 prospects overall. Nothing groundbreaking there obviously. It is also pretty clear that JJ McCarthy, Bo Nix and Michael Penix make up the second-tier; however, we’re having a devil of a time trying to figure out just where those three guys are actually fitting in on boards around the league as it seems they been all over the place to date. Best as we can ascertain at this time is that McCarthy and Nix are kind of 4-5 on most boards somewhere in the mid-20s, while Penix has dropped a little bit into the mid 30s, in part because of his injury history, in part because of his age and in part because of a somewhat slow delivery. And for the record, it would appear that Spencer Rattler has emerged as maybe the only other QB who might be considered a lock to be selected on the second day. The one other thing we can probably guarantee at this point is that it will probably all be changed this time next week. For now here is the updated QB ranking. Stay tuned!
