Final day of Senior Bowl practices; Shrine game tonight … It is a very big day on the college all-star game schedule. On the one hand, it is the third and final day of practises at the Senior Bowl in Mobile with sessions again at 10:30 AM and 1 PM ET later today. And remember that NFL teams themselves put way more stock in what they see in the three days of practice as opposed to the actual game. In fact, one of the great traditions of the Senior Bowl is the race to the airport by NFL scouts and execs trying to get home as fast as they can at the end of the final practice. Meanwhile, the East-West Shrine game will be played in Frisco, Texas later this evening with kick-off at 8 PM ET and coverage on the NFL Network. Of course, the Shrine game doesn’t have the same overall talent level as the Senior Bowl, but still has attracted some decent prospects for the 2024 draft including QBs Devin Leary, Kedon Slovis, Taulia Tagovailoa and Austin Reed, along with RBs Jabari Small and Carson Steele; WR Malik Washington; OT Walter Rouse; OGs Christian Mahogany, Mason McCormick and Karsten Barnhart; ER Mo Kamara; LBs Curtis Jacobs and Steele Chambers; CBs Beanie Bishop, Ro Torrence and Qwn’Tez Stiggers, and S Trey Taylor. Unfortunately, though, several of the Shrine games highest rated prospects including DT Leonard Taylor and ERs Jonah Elliss, DE Zion Tupuola-Fetui and Edge Cooper have not been practising this week because of injuries and are unlikely to play tonight. For the record, here are the rosters for the Shrine game’s East and West teams.
