coker added to Senior Bowl roster

January 16, 2016

Tide QB Coker back on Senior Bowl roster … After some fits and starts, it appears – at least for now – that Alabama QB Jake Coker will in fact participate in this year’s Senior Bowl week which gets underway in ten days in Mobile. Coker, a Mobile native who lead the Crimson Tide to this year’s national championship with a win over Clemson earlier this week, was originally invited to the Senior Bowl in mid-December, but didn’t show up on the roster until this week; then almost as quickly his name was deleted, but is back now. Meanwhile, the Senior Bowl has added a couple of WRs in Paul McRoberts of Southeast Missouri State and Minnesota’s K.J. Maye. Maye also hasn’t made it to the official roster, but the school made a big deal of he fact that he was headed to Mobile. Elsewhere, Colorado WR Nelson Spruce and Appalachian State DE Ronald Blair have had to withdraw from next week’s East-West Shrine week because of injuries.
