LSU DT enters draft; OSU WR stays put … LSU DT Maason Smith has confirmed that he will be entering the 2024 draft despite a down year this fall. Smith had been considered to be a top 10 type prospect earlier in his career but he missed the entire 2022 season with a torn ACL and while he played this past fall was not as dominating. Still, he figures to be a mid-to-late second day candidate this coming April. On the other hand, Ohio State WR Emeka Egbuka has announced that he will return to school next fall. In fact, he’s the second Buckeye to opt to stick with the program this week after OG Donovan Jackson did the same earlier this week. Egbuka had entered the 2023 as the #2 WR in this year’s draft class behind teammate Marvin Harrison, who for the record still has not declared, but missed three games with an ankle injury and really wasn’t the as effective when he finally did return after undergoing surgery. Underclassmen have until the end of business on Monday to file paperwork with the NFL in order to be eligible for the 2024 draft.
