Clock ticking on remaining undeclared underclassmen … There is now less than a week until the deadline for underclassmen to file paperwork with the NFL if the want to be eligible for this year’s draft. The applications must be in the league office by 4 PM ET on January 15th. In fact, most prominent 3rd year players have already announced their intentions, but the NFL is still waiting to hear from a number of prime prospects. That includes Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison, the consensus top non-QB prospect in this year’s prospective draft class. In fact, the NFL is actually waiting on word from a number of Buckeye juniors including fellow WR Emeka Egbuka, RB Tre’Veyon Henderson, OG Donovan Jackson, DE JT Tuimoloau, and CB Denzel Burke. The NFL is also waiting for a fial statement from Texas QB Quinn Ewers, although all signs point to him returning to the Longhorns. Also still to be heard from is Michigan QB JJ McCarthy. Meanwhile, other top 3rd year prospects still to be heard from include Texas WR AD Mitchell and the Miami trio of DT Leonard Taylor and safeties Kamren Kinchens and James Williams.
