Couple of interesting players to watch in Monday bowl

Couple of interesting players to watch in Monday bowl … We don’t usually highly recommend throw-away bowls between a 6-6 Sun Belt team and a 7-5 CUSA squad, but what makes Monday’s Famous Toastery Bowl in Charlotte (2:30 PM ET; ESPN) between Old Dominion and Western Kentucky is that each side features one of the most productive players in the country. For ODU, its LB Jason Henderson (#42, 6-1, 230) who has redefined the concept of tackling machine after posting over 350 tackles the past couple of seasons, including over 30 for loss. Henderson is still just a third year player and may not enter the draft this year; one would think he’d also be a likely candidate to transfer to a higher profile program if he opts to stay in school. Meanwhile, WKU Malachi Corley (#11, 5-11, 210) has been one of the most productive receivers in the country the past couple of years hauling in 176 receptions for over 2,000 yards and 22 TDs in that span. As with Henderson, scouts are somewhat divided on Corley who is more of a possession receiver than big-play threat although he does run excellent routes, has great hands and can be a threat after the catch.
