Auburn OT in draft; Bama edge rusher out … No underclassman thinking about entering the 2016 draft appears to have been more conflicted than Alabama junior DE/OLB Tim Williams. Williams, one of the most disruptive edge rushers in the country who had 10.5 sacks this fall coming off the bench, originally indicated back in early December that he would be staying in school, but then announced he was reconsidering after he reportedly received a good grade from the NFL’s special draft advisory committee. However, Williams appears to have ultimately stuck with his initial thought and has announced that he will in fact be returning to school next year to get that starting experience and perhaps elevate his final grade even higher. On the other hand, across the state Auburn RT Avery Young has become the second junior OT on the team to enter this year’s draft; he joins LT Shon Coleman who announced earlier this month that he would be turning pro this winter. And while Coleman has some legit opening round potential, the 6-5, 305-pound Young is more a mid-to-late round candidate. Meanwhile, Virginia Tech redshirt sophomore TE Bucky Hodges has also opted to stay in school for at least another year.
