Who’s leaving, who’s staying … Of course, underclassmen not automatically eligible for the 2024 draft have until January 15th to file paperwork with the NFL office in order to be in the draft, but with the regular college schedule now over save for next week’s conference championship games, one can expect to start hearing from various prospects, particularly those whose teams do not get a CFP playoff invite, whether they will in fact be entering the draft or staying in school. It is now fairly commonplace for many of the top prospects to skip their team’s bowl if it is not a major game and begin preparing for the draft. Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison, a likely top 2-3 pick in this year’s draft, for example, was quoted as saying he has not yet made a decision after yesterday’s tough loss at Michigan, although the Buckeyes do have a path, albeit a narrow one, to the CFP playoff. Meanwhile, GBN Associate Editor Pigskin Paul Guillemette has posted a preview of which of this year’s deep QB class are likely to enter the draft and which ones aren’t.
