As the QB turns; part deux … A couple of updates on injured college QBs. Quinn Ewers of Texas will not play this week when the Longhorns host BYU. Ewers left Saturday’s win over Houston with a shoulder injury which has since been diagnosed as a grade 2 AC sprain in his throwing shoulder. Texas has not revealed any timetable for when Ewers will be back other than the fact that he is that he will be listed as week-to-week starting next week. On the other hand, Miami’s Tyler Van Dyke, who did not play in Saturday’s big win over Clemson because of hand and leg injuries, will return when the Hurricanes face giant-killing Virginia which stunned unbeaten North Carolina this past weekend. Meanwhile, Coastal Carolina’s Grayson McCall has been released from hospital after taking a hard hit in the Chants’ win at Arkansas State on Saturday, but will not play this weekend when Coastal meets Marshall.
