Updating Eagles trade for vet S Byard from Titans for picks … Philadelphia has reportedly acquired veteran S Kevin Byard from Tennessee in exchange for 5th and 6th round picks in 2024 as well as veteran S Terrell Edmunds. Byard, an 8th year vet with 27 career picks, was 3rd on the Titans with 47 tackles thru 6 games this fall, but had no sacks or interceptions. There has been no official confirmation to date, but it appears that the 5th round pick the Titans get in the deal will actually be Tampa Bay’s as the Eagles were forced to send their own #5 to Arizona as a result of a tampering charge, while Philly did acquire a 5th from the Buccaneers in a 2023 draft day deal. It also isn’t clear whether the trade of Byard signals that the disappointing 2-4 Titans will be full-on sellers with the NFL trade deadline looming next week. Stay tuned!
