Bears still at #1; likely also at #2 in updated 2024 selection order … Despite winning their first game of the year on Thursday, Chicago will still have the #1 pick in this week’s first round selection order as they also own Carolina’s first-round pick courtesy of a 2023 draft trade and the Panthers remained the NFL’s only winless team with a loss in Detroit in one of today’s early games. The Bears will also end up with the 2nd pick overall, at least for the week, as they have the weakest SOS figure of any of the 1-win teams. However, we won’t know for sure much beyond that first pick until after tomorrow night’s game between Green Bay and Las Vegas as the Raiders are one of the teams, are one of two teams along with Denver in the mix for the 3-4 picks, again at least for the week. And yes, we will be posting the first full weekly selection order after tomorrow’ night’s game.
