The Turk warming up as final week of pre-season set to KO … The third and final weekend of NFL pre-season games gets underway on Thursday with a couple of game including Pittsburgh at Atlanta on the NFL Network with kick-off set for 7:30 PM ET. Thursday’s other game has Indianapolis playing at Philadelphia at 8 PM ET. There are a couple of more games set for Friday evening with another 10 slated for Saturday. The weekend wraps on Sunday evening with Houston playing at New Orleans at 8 PM ET on Fox. Of course, the games are just the warm-up for the weekend as once they are done all teams have to be done to their opening day 53-man roster limit by the end of business on Tuesday. And because this will be the only cut this year, close to 1,200 players will have to be released across the league before Tuesday’s 4 PM ET deadline. In fact, most teams will begin informing players that they have been released fairly soon after that team’s final pre-season game; at the same time, though, most teams don’t actually formally announce their cuts until very close to the deadline. As usual, we’ll be tracking the cuts, but only as they are officially announced.
