Combine notes: day two … Its day two at the annual scouting combine in Indianapolis where the defensive linemen and LBs will undergo their general medical exams, while the defensive backs and specialists will go thru the registration process and orientation. However, there likely won’t be a lot of breaking news out of Indianapolis probably until Thursday when the first group gets weighed and measured and then hits the field for on-field testing and positional drills. Rising Utah TE Dalton Kincaid, who is creating a bit of first-round buzz, announced he won’t be working out with the other TEs on Saturday as he still isn’t 100% following a late-season back injury. And while the BIG question in Indianapolis remains just how big, or small, Alabama QB Bryce Young measures in at on Saturday, THE most interesting guy at this year’s combine appears to be Florida QB Anthony Richardson. Needless to say he isn’t the most accomplished passer in this year’s draft, but pro people from all over seem to be in agreement that he has by far the highest ceiling of any QB available this year given his combination of size, arm strength and athleticism. There are reportedly even some teams wondering if in the end Richardson could actually go first overall. Time will tell. At the same time, there also seems to be a growing consensus that this year’s draft class just isn’t all that talented, but what talent is available runs pretty deep.
