Terp DT to enter draft … Maryland DT Quinton Jefferson has announced that he is entering the 2016 draft despite having another year of eligibility. The 6-3, 290-pound Jefferson, who figures to get some later round interest as a possible 5-tech DE for a 3-4 scheme, missed all of the 2014 season with a torn ACL, but bounced back nicely this year as he had 39 tackles including 6.5 sacks. Jefferson is the second somewhat unheralded former Terp to indicate they are entering the draft after DE/OLB Yannick Ngakoue had previously announced he was entering the upcoming draft. One factor impacting Jefferson’s decision is that he already has a family with children.
