Selection order to be shuffled … There will almost certainly be some shuffling of the top of the current selection order for the opening round of the 2023 draft were it to be held this week as there are several games involving head-to-head match-ups of teams with early picks. It starts with Carolina, which came into the week sitting on the 2nd pick overall, but will almost certainly be dropping down after defeating Atlanta in the Thursday night game. At the same time, Las Vegas, which would have the 3rd pick this week, will be hosting Indianapolis which would have picked 14th; Pittsburgh, which has the 4th pick, will be hosting New Orleans who’s 6th pick belongs to Philadelphia; #5 Detroit will be at #9 Chicago; and #7 Arizona will be at the LA Rams who are sitting on the 12th pick which they actually traded to Detroit.
