Giants report: Still missing the forest for the trees … Had been hoping to pass on any more Daniel Jones’ commentary until the end of the year and just watch the season play out. However, with the Giants at 6-1, it appears that the ground has already shifted. Indeed, the question no longer appears to be whether the Giants will try and resign Jones, but how much will they be willing to pay him. However, based on how I see the NFL working – and remember I was the guy who said the Giants would be much better than just about everyone was giving them credit for this season that given the current trajectory, the Giants will be paying Jones whatever it takes to keep him in blue. I also think that people have to start thinking that in all liklelihood, Jones is going to be THE guy with the Giants for the next 10-12 years. Get used to it. And maybe start thinking about how they go about continuing to surround him with the best possible supporting cast. Full report here.
