Third day wrap

April 30, 2022

That’s a wrap; THE end, finish!! … The 2022 draft came to a fitting close just before 7 PM ET this evening when San Francisco selected former Iowa State QB Brock Rurdy with the 262nd and final pick of the draft. Of course, that makes him ‘Mr. Irrelevant’ for the year. And while the actual draft is in the books, there won’t be much rest for NFL personnel people, though, as teams are already calling around looking to sign the top undrafted prospects that weren’t selected this weekend. And there are still a lot of really talented prospects on the board including QBs Carson Strong, Kaleb Eleby, EJ Perry and Cole Kelley; RBs Abram Smith, Kennedy Brooks, and Max Borghi; WRs Maki Polk, Kevin Austin, Dai’jean Dixon, Isaiah Weston, Justyn Ross, and Devon Williams; TEs Jalen Wydermyer, Braden Galloway and Peyton Hendershot; OT Ryan VanDemark; OGs Ben Brown, and Jason Poe; Cs Dohnovan West and Alec Lindstrom; DEs De’Shaan Dixon, LeBryan Ray,  Tre Williams, and Luiji Vilain; DT Haskell Garrett; LBs Mike Rose, Nephi Sewell, Jack Sanborn, and Zakoby McClain; CBs Mykael Wright, Josh Jobe, Chris Steele and Mario Goodrich; safeties Bubba Bolden, Verone McKinley, and Smoke Monday; and PKs Gabe Brkik and Cameron Dickerare among the prospects at the top of the updated GBN Big Board ranking of the top remaining players. See you next year!!
