That’s a wrap; part deux … The second and third rounds of the 2022 draft came to a close just a few minutes ago when San Francisco selected former SMU WR Danny Gray with the 105th and last pick of the third round. However, as usual there won’t be much rest for NFL personnel people, though, as teams still have to re-stack their boards and priorities prior to the start of the fourth round, which gets underway at Noon ET Saturday afternoon with Tampa Bay back on the clock with the 106th pick overall. The busiest teams of the third day, though, look to be the LA Chargers who have 8 picks on Saturday, while the LA Rams, Baltimore, Kansas City and Green Bay have 7 each. In fact, Baltimore has what must be a record 6 picks in the 4th round alone. At the same time, another 9 teams including Jacksonville, Buffalo, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Houston, New England, San Francisco and the NY Giants have 6 apiece. Here is the updated selection order for the 2022 draft, as well as the current picks by team file. And there are still a lot of really talented prospects on the board including QB Sam Howell, DT Perrion Winfrey, RB Isaiah Spiller and OT Daniel Faalele, each of whom expected to be long off the board by this time. Meanwhile, other top prospects still on the board include QBs Carson Strong, Kaleb Eleby, EJ Perry and Bailey Zappe; RBs Pierre Strong, Ty Chandler, Dameon Pierce, Abram Smith and Zamir White; WRs Calvin Austin and Khalil Shakir; TEs Isaiah Likely, Cade Otton, Chiq Okonkwo, Cole Turner and Jalen Wydermeyer; OTs Kellen Diesch, Rasheed Walker and Dare Rosenthal; OGs Jamaree Salyer, Darian Kinnard, Cade Mays, and Thayer Munford; Cs Dohnovan West and Alec Lindstrom; DE JJ Enagbare; DT Haskell Garrett; ILB Damone Clark; OLBs Amare’ Barno, Brandon Smith and Jesse Luketa; CBs Tariq Woolen, Jalyn Armour-Davis, Zion McCollum, Coby Bryant, Damarri Mathis, and Kalon Barnes; safeties Verone McKinley and Bubba Bolden; and P Matt Araiza who are all among the top prospects at the top of the updated GBN Big Board ranking of the top remaining players.
