The invitation is in the mail … There are still roughly ten weeks to go until this year’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, but invitations for this year’s game are already being sent out. And while no official invite list will ever be released, our intrepid college investigative reporter Larry P has put together the following list of players who have reportedly received 2016 Senior Bowl invitations: QBs Connor Cook of Michigan State, Carson Wentz of North Dakota State, and Dak Prescott of Mississippi State; RBs Devontae Booker of Utah and Arkansas’ Jonathan Williams; Michigan State WR Aaron Burbridge; TE Bryce Williams of East Carolina; Indiana OT Jason Spriggs; Arkansas OG Sebastian Tretola; Michigan State C Jack Allen; DEs Shilique Calhoun and Lawrence Thomas of Michigan State, Penn State’s Carl Nassib and Jihad Ward of Illinois; OLB Jordan Jenkins of Georgia; CB James Bradberry of Samford; and Penn State FS Jordan Lucas. Wentz and Lucas, though, have season ending injuries and there availability for the Senior Bowl is to be determined. This year’s Senior Bowl is scheduled for January 30th with practices to start January 25th.
