NFL sets 2022 salary cap … The NFL informed teams today that the salary cap for the 2022 season has been set at $208.2M. That’s up substantially from the 2021 figure of $182.5M which was low because of revenue lost during the 2020 season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021 figure was also lower than in 2020 when the cap was set at $198.2M. All 32 teams now must be down under the new cap figure when the new football year starts on March 16th.
