Tide LB Harris aces 40 test … It is not hard to imagine that Alabama LB Christian Harris has chafed all day as people gushed over Georgia defensive linemen Jordan Davis, Traylon Walker and Devonte Wyatt. However, he was able to get in the act himself this even running a very quick unofficial 4.44 40. Harris had kind of slipped behind Nakobe Dean of that other school to the east and Utah’s Devin Lloyd. However, a time like that could at least get him back in the opening round conversation. On the other hand, the Utes’ Lloyd did not run anywhere nearly as well as expected as he was only able to clock a 4.71 time. For the most part, the ILBs ran pretty well tonight with the majority getting under the 4.7 barrier. That included a 4.41 by Montana State’s Troy Anderson who led the group with a 4.41 time. Other good times among the LBs included a very respectable 4.57 by Leo Chenal of Wisconsin, who a lot of people questioned his long speed, while the Georgia duo of Channing Tindall and Quay Walker had times of 4.53 and 4.57 respectively. LSU’s Damone Clark also had a respectable time of 4.62 while Chad Muma of Wyoming had a 4.66 clocking. For the record, Georgia’s Nakobe Dean, arguably THE top LB prospect this year, was one former Bulldog who chose not to work out today.
