Harbaugh to return to UM; Vikes look to Rams’ OC … The flirtation between Minnesota and Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh appears to over. The Vikings had talked seriously with Harbaugh about filling their vacant head coaching job over the past week. However, Harbaugh has reportedly told Michigan officials that he’ll back in maize and blue next fall. No word if he got any money added to his contract! Meanwhile, the Vikings are now expected to sign LA Rams’ offensive co-ordinator Kevin O’Connell after next week’s Super Bowl. For the record, the other two finalists for the Vikes’ job were defensive co-ordinators Raheem Morris of the Rams and the Giants’ Patrick Graham, both of whom are minority candidates. Which is handy as they allow the Vikings to meet the Rooney Rule requirement to have in-house interviews with at least two minority candidates from another organization.
