Raiders fire G.M. Mayock … Former lead draft analyst for the NFL Network and now former Las Vegas G.M. Mike Mayock just found out why life in TV may be better than in the actual league. TV guys almost never get fired cause nobody cares whether you get it wrong. Mayock, though, was just released by the Raiders after three years which did culminate in a playoff appearance this fall. However, Mayock was originally hired by Las Vegas specifically to work with then Raiders head coach Jon Gruden, who was fired during the season. The betting right now is that Mayock does indeed return to television rather than try to get another G.M. gig.
