First 6 picks remain unchanged; Jags, Lions to pick 1-2 … The NY Jets hung around in Buffalo, but eventually lost to the Bills meaning their were no changes in the first 6 picks in the 2022 selection order, despite a couple of upsets. Jacksonville and Detroit, for example, both posted surprise wins Sunday with the Jags knocking Indianapolis out of the playoffs with a convincing win, while Detroit rallied to knock off Green Bay which had already clinched the top seed in the NFC. As a result, Jacksonville and Detroit will have the first and second picks respectively at the 2022 draft, while Houston will pick third, the Jets 4th, the Giants 5th and Carolina 6th. There was a little bit of good news for the Giants, though, as Seattle’s win over Arizona pushed the Bears, whose first-round pick is held by the Giants, up to the 7th pick. The top 10 rounds out with Atlanta now at #8, Denver at #9, the Jets, with Seattle’s pick, at #10, followed by Washington, Minnesota, Cleveland and Baltimore. As usual, the full opening round selection order will be updated at the end of the season finale between Las Vegas and the LA Chargers this evening.
