Orange PK latest to opt to stay in school … Syracuse PK Andre Szmyt, a former Lou Groza Award, has indicated that he will be taking advantage of the NCAA’s extra year of eligibility because of Covid and will return to school in the fall for what will be his 6th season with the program. Szmyt won the Groza award back in 2018, but has never quite been as accurate since. In fact, he was just 9 of 14 this past season with the Orange and likely would not have been drafted this spring, although he almost assuredly would have gotten a tryout somewhere.
