Irish beat Cavs; lose QB for year … Notre Dame’s promising start to the season got turned on its head earlier this afternoon when sophomore QB Malik Zaire was lost for the year with a fractured ankle in the Irish’s last-minute 34-27 win over Virginia. Zaire was replaced by fellow sophomore DeShone Kizer, who completed 8 of 12 passes, including a 39-yard scoring strike to emerging junior WR Will Fuller with 12 seconds remaining, to clinch the win.
