Star Pitt RB done for year with MCL … And the hits just keep on coming. The latest promising prospect for the 2016 draft to be lost for the year is Pittsburgh junior RB James Conner who the GBN had rated as the 3rd best prospect at the position for the upcoming draft. Conner, who ran for almost 1,800 yards last fall, twill undergo surgery next week. The good news for Conner is that its not an ACL and it is not inconceivable that he will be able to work out almost fully at the combine and other pre-draft workouts next winter should he choose to enter the upcoming draft. On the other hand, it now appears that the knee injury suffered by Notre Dame junior RB Tarean Folston was an ACL injury rather than an MCL as originally reported.
