‘Phins clinch 3rd pick; Falcs 4th … We knew, of course. heading into the weekend that Jacksonville and the NY Jets had already wrapped up the 1st and 2nd picks overall respectively in the opening round selection order for the 2021 draft. In fact, nothing more was settled in today’s early games, but Miami, with Houston’s pick, just clinched the 3rd pick when the Texans were beaten 38-35 by Tennessee on a last-play FG that doinked in off one of the uprights. Meanwhile, Atlanta will pick 4th and Cincinnati 5th. However, the rest of the top ten and beyond won’t be decided until after tonight’s season finale between Philadelphia and Washington. A win by the Eagles and Detroit will sit 6th, followed by Carolina at #7, Denver at #8 and Philadelphia at #9. A loss by the Eagles, though, and they’ll slide into the 6th pick with the others dropping down a spot. The full, opening round selection order will be posted after tonight’s game.
