Post-season Big Board updated … With the regular college football season, such as it was, in the books, the GBN scout staff has updated our Big Board ranking of the top 100 prospects for the 2021 draft, which, for the record, is now just 128 days away. And it should come as no surprise that the upcoming draft year still looks very much like a year of the QB with three QBs in the top four prospects overall, and 6 in the top 15. That includes Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence at #1, Justin Fields of Ohio State at #2, BYU’s Zack Wilson at #4, Mac Jones of Alabama at #11, North Dakota State’s Trey Lance at #13 and Florida’s Kyle Trask at #15. At the same time, there are a couple of moves of note among the positional players with Alabama WR DeVonta Smith moving up to the 5th overall slot, two spots ahead of fellow SEC star WR Ja’Marr Chase of LSU who’s at #7. Meanwhile, Miami DE Jaelan Phillips is up to 9th, meaning that there are two former Hurricane DEs in the top ten as Greg Rousseau is still at #10. Also note that the individual positional rankings have also been updated as per the drop down menu above.
