Star PSU TE opts for surgery; done for year … Penn State has confirmed that TE Pat Freiermuth will undergo season-ending surgery next week for an undisclosed injury suffered against Ohio State last month. Freiermuth, who is generally considered to be the second-best prospect at the position for the 2021 draft behind Kyle Pitts of Florida, actually played in two games after that, but did not participate in Penn State’s loss to Iowa earlier today.
