Another lawsuit against Penn State; prospects involved … A former player at Penn State football and now at California has has filed a federal lawsuit that accuses the school and head coach James Franklin of ignoring reports of hazing within the program. According to the lawsuit, former Penn State DB Isaiah Humphries was the target of hazing conducted by a number of Penn State players including DE Yetur Gross-Matos and sophomore LB Micah Parsons. Gross-Matos is a rising first-round prospect for the 2020 draft, while Parsons is generally considered to be one of the very best non-QB prospects in the country for next year’s draft. Among the alleged acts of hazing included threats of “I am going to Sandusky you” obviously in reference to former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky who is currently serving a 30-60 year prison sentence after being found guilty of multiple counts of child abuse. Again, these are just allegations and there is no sense that players like Gross-Matos or Parsons are likely to be charged with anything but it is the kind of thing that NFL people will want answers about during pre-draft interviews.
