Vols’ OG Smith set to return to school … Tennessee junior OG Trey Smith surprised just about everyone earlier today when he announced that he will be returning to school for his senior season next fall. Smith looked all the part of a future top NFL prospect when he started all 12 games for the Vols as a true freshman in 2017 when he even made some All-SEC teams. Its been tough for Smith since, though, as missed much of the 2018 season after he was diagnosed with a medical condition that provoked blood clotting which clearly was career-threatening if not life threatening. However, Smith battled back against the odds and started in 11 games this past fall when he appeared to regain much of his 2017 form. As a result, Smith had been expected to throw his hat into the draft ring this winter, but his pro career will now have to wait.
