Cardinal OT Little to stay in school; two others enter draft … A couple more players announced earlier today that they would be entering the 2020 draft. However, that wasn’t the big draft news of the day. That came from the west coast where rising Stanford junior LT Walker Little announced that he will be returning to school for his senior season next fall after suffering a season-ending knee injury earlier this year. Walker had been projected as a potential top 15-20 candidate for the upcoming draft prior to the injury and figures to open the 2020 college season in that range. On the other hand, the 2020 OT class did get a big lift with the announcement that Louisville junior OT Mekhi Becton will be turning pro this winter. And big is the operative word as Becton is listed at almost 370 pounds by the school. Becton is currently rated as the 61st overall prospect for the upcoming draft on the GBN Big Board. Meanwhile, Utah State junior LB David Woodward is the other underclassman to have announced today that they will be entering this year’s draft. Woodward isn’t a household name, but he has been one of the most productive defensive players in the country the past couple of seasons. Indeed, Woodward had 134 tackles in 2018 and was on pace to post close to 160 this fall before suffering a season ending injury through 7 games this year.
