Rising TCU OT Niang done for year … TCU OT Lucas Niang, a rising prospect for the 2020 draft, will miss the rest of the season because of the lingering effects of a hip injury. The 6-6, 320-pound Niang, who is the #5 OT on the GBN positional rankings and the #37 prospect overall on the GBN Big Board, has been playing with a torn hip labrum all season, but after seeing a specialist last week in New York, he was advised to have arthroscopic surgery right away. Given that there is usually a 3-4 month recovery timetable for this kind of injury, Niang will almost certainly be unable to participate in the Senior Bowl in late January, but could conceivably be able to attend the scouting combine in the latter part of February.
