‘Phins versus ‘Phins to wrap week … Again, this is probably not what they were expecting when they drew up this year’s regular schedule with Miami playing at Pittsburgh to wrap up this week on Monday night. It turns out this match-up will have a much bigger impact on the 2020 draft than on any of this year’s playoff scenarios. Of course, the still winless Dolphins are very much in the hunt for the #1 pick overall at this year’s draft, while the 2-4 Steelers are just trying to keep their collective heads above water with QB Ben Rothlisberger out for the year. The ultimate irony is that Miami owns both their own and Pittsburgh’s picks at the upcoming draft having acquired the Steelers pick earlier this year in a trade for DB Minkah Fitzpatrick. For the record, all the teams with top 6 picks heading into the week other than Miami have all lost already this week so there won’t be many changes to the top of the opening round selection order this week. However, it will be posted as usual after the Monday nighter.
